Red Owl Boxing has officially announced the main event for Boxfest XIX, and it promises to be one of the biggest boxing nights of the summer in the Southwest.
On Friday, August 7, 2026, undefeated bantamweight prospect Emanuel “El Trompo” Moreno will face Guillermo “GMO” Gutierrez for the vacant WBA Continental Americas Bantamweight Championship at the El Paso County Coliseum. The event will stream live worldwide on DAZN, bringing El Paso boxing to millions of viewers across the globe.
Moreno enters the fight with a perfect professional record of 13-0 and continues to establish himself as one of the brightest young prospects in the sport. At just 21 years old, the Wichita Falls native is already ranked No. 11 in the world by the World Boxing Association and is coming off a dominant unanimous decision victory over Francisco Pedroza Portillo in April.
Known for his relentless pressure, high punch output, and nonstop aggression, Moreno has quickly become a fan favorite among boxing supporters across Texas.
Standing in his way is San Antonio’s Guillermo “GMO” Gutierrez, who brings a 13-3 record and a decorated amateur background into the championship showdown. A former Team USA standout, Gutierrez was once ranked as high as No. 2 nationally at 114 pounds and has shared the ring with elite competition throughout his career.
Unlike Moreno’s pressure-heavy approach, Gutierrez relies on movement, timing, defense, and ring intelligence, creating an intriguing stylistic matchup that could steal the spotlight on fight night.
The winner will leave El Paso with the vacant WBA Continental Americas title, a regional championship that often serves as a stepping stone toward world rankings and future title opportunities.
Ivy Enriquez Returns to Fight in Front of Her Hometown Fans
The DAZN broadcast will also feature one of El Paso’s fastest-rising stars.
Undefeated prospect Ivy “Poison” Enriquez will return home looking to continue her perfect professional record. The 19-year-old El Paso native has already built a reputation as one of the top young female prospects in boxing after representing Team USA and winning multiple international amateur championships.
Enriquez enters Boxfest XIX with a 7-0 record and continues to gain national attention as one of the future faces of women’s boxing.
Ariana Carrasco Continues Professional Rise
Another highly anticipated appearance on the card comes from Las Cruces native Ariana Carrasco.
The former Team USA standout enjoyed one of the most decorated amateur careers in the country, capturing 12 national titles before making the jump to the professional ranks.
Carrasco made an impressive statement in her pro debut by scoring a first-round knockout and now returns for her second professional appearance looking to maintain her momentum.
Red Owl Boxing Brings Major Event to El Paso
Red Owl Boxing CEO Greg Bloom believes Boxfest XIX represents another important step in building championship boxing in the region.
“From top to bottom, we are bringing a card of high-action fights with several different Red Owl stars and future champions to El Paso, a town with a rich history of great boxing,” Bloom said.
Founded in 2021, Red Owl Boxing has rapidly expanded its footprint across North America while focusing on developing young prospects and creating opportunities for future champions.
With a regional title on the line, undefeated prospects, rising female stars, and worldwide exposure through DAZN, Boxfest XIX is shaping up to be one of the most important boxing events to hit El Paso in 2026.
Fans can expect additional fight announcements in the coming weeks as the August 7 event approaches.
